Where is that?
(The Treesort is hiding in the trees of the lower center in the photo,
our large exercise/training ring is the bright spot below right.)

Southwestern corner of Oregon, just outside Cave Junction near the California border.
Takilma Gold Morgans share's home with our world famous Out'n'About Treesort
(Treehouse Resort) in the picturesque valley of Takilma.
Nestled in the beautiful Siskiyou Mountains,
just below the wilderness headwaters of the East Fork Illinois River.
How did I get started?
What started with some horses for hire here at the resort evolved into a breeding program with Arabians and the rare Akhal-Teke horse of Turkmenistan. All of our horses are raised in a naturally healthy outdoor herd environment with lots of room to roam. We are big on the "natural horsemanship" ways, all of our foals get used to "following a feel" and learning "trust" right from birth. Some of our natural horsemanship teachers of whom we have ridden with or learned so much from are Ray and Carolyn Hunt, outstanding teachers and authors in natural horsemanship.

We were honored to have Ray give a clinic here at Takilma Gold Morgans Ranch. We've also had clinics with Buck Brannaman, Linda and Pat Parelli, along with other Parelli method instructors such as Dave Ellis and my friend and mentor Jill Matthews. After about 5 years into breeding my Arabs, I acquired my first Morgan mare, Morgan's a Triton, and her filly "GLA Whispering Elegance" out of "WHF Whistle Jacket", both of whom posses some impressive pedigree.
Last year after I decided to focus exclusively on my Morgan mares, I happened upon "Ragtime Morgan's" while searching for a colorful breeding stallion. I fell in love with Ragtime's beautiful stallions, Dunskin Robbi Sue's Ragtime and Ragetime Oro Blanco, a rare perlino dun. As Oro Blanco, fondly known as "Casper", is only offered for breeding in a closed partnership I contacted Nancy Nard of Ragtime Morgan's. I was offered a share in the partnership with Casper. I went to meet him and played with him in the arena at Lliberty, I was hooked! Not only was he beautiful with fabulous confirmation, but he possess such a sweet and easy going way. I knew I would get foals with that old style, family oriented show horse quality that we all want.

The rest was about to unfold, and now the first babies are here!
The color has begun!
